Dear Praying Friends, ASM Students: Here are my students I taught 15 different times over a 1 week period at Africa School of Missions in White River, South Africa. There were about 30 present from many different nations in Africa, England and even a couple from South Korea. They were so receptive and responsive. The tangible sense of the presence of God was continually manifest throughout the week. I spoke 4 messages on the Grace of God. We discussed the grace of the call which is impossible without God’s working and then what happens if we fall short of the grace of God. We discussed in detail the 3 root problems which result, a root of bitterness, moral impurity and temporal values. I used the root of bitterness to illustrate how a stronghold develops in our soul and how to pull it down. Then I taught 10 sessions from my book, “Hearing Father’s Heart.” We discussed how to hear from God, how to test guidance, handling the testing of the wilderness, procrastination and much more. Here is three excerpts from the students: …It has been a wonderful week for me, God has used Johnny to help me in the process of seeking God for His direction regarding my call. The principles that he taught/shared are truly a resource that I will apply not only as I seek clarity during the current year, but I will use for a lifetime…Tebogo Maimane …During Johnny’s visit I really felt that God was talking to me, something that I haven’t heard for a long time and God telling me that He loves unconditionally even though I might consider myself as a sinner. He said to me that I am His child and that whatever situation I find myself in, He will never leave nor forsake me… Nancy Richardson-Arhin Wow! This course has been so amazing this week. I was so blessed by it. Thank you so much for…sharing what God placed on your heart. Every session was a highlight. I believe God spoke to my heart with every teaching and planted seeds that well surely grow in the near future…Edrei Engelbrecnt
Then on the last Sunday, I spoke to another wonderful church, the Calvary Assembly of God in the city of White River. The pastor is from Canada and also oversees the printing and publication ministry of the AOG for Africa. I met so many wonderful people and many in full-time missionary roles. Erika & Marinda: While in South Africa, we had a meeting of the oversight board for Crossministries on which I have served for the past 6 or so years (this is the ministry that has established the Revival Training Center in Samara, Russia). At that meeting the exciting decision was reached to release Erika Pretorius and Marinda Coetzee to come to Anderson, IN USA and assist me in beginning a full-time training school of ministry. Erika & Marinda will arrive in late June. Erika will stay here to assist in establishing our curriculum and to help recruit students. Marinda who is the CEO of Africa School of Missions will return (after 1 month) to complete their 2nd semester and then will join us permanently around the 1st of December. If you, are someone you know, is interested in receiving training for ministry, please let us know and we will send them a brochure and refer them to a video clip about the school. This is so exciting and a fulfillment of an assignment God gave me in a Russian hospital in May of 2007. The 1st weekend I was in Witbank at the Shalom Church with Charles & Jen Andrew. This is a wonderful, loving group of people who love God and desire His ways.
